Credit application information. When you submit a credit application, we collect your name, phone number, email address, date of birth, marital status, home address, residence details, employment and income information, and — if applicable — details about a trade-in vehicle.

Contact form information. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, optional phone number, and the message you send us.

Technical information. We automatically log the IP address associated with form submissions. This is used only to detect and prevent automated abuse (for example, blocking repeated spam submissions) and is not used to track your browsing activity.

We use the information you provide to:

• Process your credit application and match you with financing options;
• Verify the credit and employment information you provide;
• Contact you by phone, email, or text (including recorded calls) about your application or inquiry;
• Respond to questions submitted through our contact form; and
• Protect our website and applicants from spam and abuse.

If you submit a credit application, we share it with our dealer and lending partners for the purpose of arranging financing on your behalf, consistent with the consent you provide when submitting the form. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with unaffiliated third-party dealers, lead-generation lists, or marketing brokers.

We also use a small number of service providers to operate the site and communicate with you — for example, an email delivery provider to send notifications and a database provider to store submitted information securely. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

We may disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Auto Approval Ontario, our applicants, or the public.

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics tracking cookies on this site. Any cookies set are limited to what’s functionally necessary for the site to operate.

We retain credit application and contact information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including maintaining records for financing, legal, and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your information at any time, subject to any legal or regulatory obligations that require us to retain it.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the details below. We will respond to reasonable requests within a reasonable timeframe.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transmission and access-controlled storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our services are intended for individuals who are at least the age of majority in their province of residence. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
